Terminal City 2011 --Who Are We?

A Burning Man Village of Theme Camps.

Terminal City (TC) is a Burning Man Village, made up of veteran theme camps.  TC first unofficially villaged in 2007 with member camps near by to one another near 3:00 keyhole.  In 2008, TC officially villaged and was listed as such.   Member camps of TC thematically share a common ideas-- the end is near... you are doomed... today is the last day of the rest of your life, etc.  Apocalyptic elements abound, and we are just fine with that.  A centerpiece of TC is the famous Booby Bar, home to theme nights and live music with small roaming bands.

The saying goes- "It's not the destination, it's the journey."  Well, your journey ends at Terminal City.

Location and General Layout

We have typically been placed on A Street near 3:30, occupying both sides of the street giving TC a neighborhood feel.  Although we shared theme elements and infrastructure as well as interactivity, this is enhanced by the establishment of the "A Hole"- a sort of mini plaza that brackets the street.  This provides a unique public area where interactivity, events, game shows and performances are held. A small stage modified from a trailer with decorative backdrops provides space for live music performances and small shows like the Fascist Fashion Show and the MASH USO Talent Show.

Art pieces are placed here, and convenient Mutant Vehicle and bike parking is available without messing up A St.
